Engagement rings are not always accompanied with wedding rings. There are occasions where they are, and there are occasions where they aren’t. The availability of bespoke wedding rings varies per culture. In some cultures it is more common to have bespoke wedding rings, while in other cultures it is less common or not available at all.
A high percentage of the customers that purchase custom made jewelry want pieces that don’t exist on the market yet. These customers either bring their own designs or choose from alternative options offered by their designer of choice. When these customers choose bespoke wedding bands , the process will be similar how engagement ring setting s work; the client provides the designer with an idea of what he/she wants, and then together they choose materials and design to match that idea.
When designing bespoke wedding rings for clients, or any piece of jewelry actually, designers often take into account cultural differences. The same goes for personal preferences regarding colors, metals etc. Some cultures typically do not use silver in their wedding rings , so it is unwise to suggest this to a client who comes from such a culture. Also the style of the ring differs per culture; some cultures prefer certain styles more than others. Sometimes these preferences are reflected in religious beliefs; people undergoing religious vows may wear specific types of rings to emphasize their commitment .
It is never too soon to start planning your wedding. And, the best place to begin is with your partner’s ring. If you dream of a diamond set in platinum or sandwiched between two bands of gold, maybe yellow gold on the outside and white gold in the centre – then why not ask us for help?
We can guide you through the process of creating that special bespoke ring that reflects your dreams, passions and experiences together. We work with each client individually to ensure that every aspect of their engagement ring is personal to them.
We offer advice based on our experience and passion for making beautiful pieces of jewellery. Typically we would expect any couple choosing such a fine material as diamonds, together with such an exquisite setting as ours, to choose yellow gold.
However, we realise that some couples may prefer to use platinum – an even more costly material – for their ring which is why we are happy to accommodate all requests.
Our bespoke service offers the opportunity to work with us on your design and create a ring that expresses your two personalities as well as celebrating your love for each other through eternity!
We will help you every step of the way; from initially discussing ideas, through sourcing precious metals and diamonds, up until the completion of a one-off masterpiece you have designed together – a ring that will last generations. This process typically takes six months but can take longer if you want a particularly complicated setting or a non-traditional shape stone.
