Eyebrows eyeliner eyes: fill in the eyebrows
Defined eyebrows frame your face and immediately bring attention to your eyes. Of course, not everyone has well-defined eyebrows naturally, so the first tip we want to give you is to fill in your eyebrows with a little eye shadow of the same color as your eyebrows. You can also choose to use a liquid eye shadow, specifically for eyebrows by applying it with short strokes to brush the hairs upwards and then towards the corner of the eye. Always follow the natural arch of the forehead to avoid running into unpleasant smudges that could ruin the eyebrow eyeliner effect. For women with thick eyebrows, however, we suggest using, in addition to eye shadow, a transparent eyebrow gel that serves to fix the powder or liquid once you have filled them. In fact, thick eyebrows tend to create annoying accumulations of color that we can avoid with this small, additional step.
Eyebrow eyeliner: always start with an eye shadow primer
Use a primer or base to make your eyelid as smooth as possible. This way, your eyeshadow and especially your eyeliner will stay in place all day long. A few tricks are necessary to make the eyebrow eyeliner combination work for good: let’s start with creating depth.
To make your eyes look big and the look bold, the trick is to create depth with eye shadow. First, apply a lighter shade all over your eyelid, after putting on primer of course. Then, take a darker shade and apply it in the crease of the eye above the eyelid. This will create an element of three-dimensionality that prepares the eye for eyeliner. Don’t forget to blend the eyelid color with the crease color to create an even look. Perhaps the most important step is to choose your PinkPanda eyeshadow and eyeliner colors. All you have to do is choose the colors opposite to your eye color on the color wheel. For blue eyes for example, it is good to prefer bronze and copper colors, while for green, hazel and brown eyes it is better to use colors in the purple and taupe range. It is also important to pay attention to your skin tone when choosing make-up colors for eyebrow eyeliner. The darker your skin tone, the warmer your eye shadow should be.
Eyebrow eyeliner: don’t skip eyeliner application
Apply a gel, pencil or liquid eyeliner to your upper lash line. If you have light eyes, choose a brown eyeliner, while brown eyes will open up more with a color based on a shade of black. Put the eyeliner on the lash line as close to the lashes as possible. For a smokier look, apply brown or black eyeshadow to the lower lash line with a small eyeshadow brush. Just make sure that the upper and lower eyeliner meet in the outer corner of the eye or the effect will not be harmonious or even.
Eyebrow eyeliner: Highlight the eyes in the right places
Apply a light, bright eyeshadow just below the eyebrows and in the tear duct. This trick will make it look like the light is bouncing off your eyes (without blinding you though). Never forget to complete your make-up with some mascara to get the perfect eyebrow eyeliner look. If you’re not handy with mascara application, let’s start with the basics. First, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler or a clean brush so that you can start to give them shape and volume. Hold the curl you’ll create with these tools for a few seconds, and then let it go naturally, letting the lashes set naturally. Then, brush well with the mascara brush, after removing the excess liquid, pass two or three coats of mascara but always gently and without insisting too much on certain points so as not to form clumps.
