It’s no secret that i have a special liking for taupe eyeshadow. To me, is as a natural and beautiful as a sunrise. My passion for taupe has also had an effect on the color choices for my furniture, clothing, cars, etc. I guess you could say, am totally bananas over taupe, which would perhaps explain my recent interest with the maybelline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadow tough as taupe edition. Here is a brief breakdown of my experience with the product so far:
maybelline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadow is comprised of a range 10 colors in this formula. The majority of them are very vibrant, with a very creamy texture. However, in my opinion, I found that it dries off a little bit quicker than some of its competitors.
The color of maybelline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadow tough as taupe edition is a rich and opaque grey beige. One thing to note about the basic appearance of the eyeshadow is the two tones of the colors that are present in the product. Don’t be too surprised if you find the color underneath is different from the color on top, once you swipe it one. Is this voodoo or magic? Who knows, however, the general appearance afterwards is more grey than brown.
I did like its matte texture, which is a welcome difference from the more ubiquitous shimmery texture you get in other products. The best approach to apply the eyeshadow is one eye at time. Make sure to work quickly and sheer out the edges, before they set.
In my endurance test, maybelline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadow was scarcely able to pass the 24 hour mark. But, in my own opinion, that is a small price to pay for such a lovely product. The only negative thing I found about it, was its ability to crease after a relatively short amount of time. This issue may perhaps have to do with my negligence to use primer, which I was able to confirm after I applied a primer base and saw its performance improve tremendously. Therefore, it goes without saying that you should always utilize a base primer before application.
For $7 pop, maybelline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadow provides great value for money. However, due to the huge variety of colors, I would recommend that you figure which colors fit you best before you make your selection. For me, it will remain to be taupe.
